The first round of Nevada State Athletic Commission drug testing for Floyd Mayweather Jr and Victor Ortiz came back clean yesterday. To be clear, this is not the random USADA testing that Mayweather and Ortiz are doing, but part one of three Nevada tests.
"Usually a month or so out from the fight, I call up the lab and I say that I'm going to send these two fighters for testing. I give them their names, I give them their birth dates and then I call the fighters and their representatives," said Kizer.
"Then I say, 'here's the toll free number. You need to call the lab today, and you need to tell them the zip code where the fighter is, and they will find you a place to go ASAP. And then, of course, you can urinate.'"
Well, of course.
Ortiz's outspoken manager Rolando Arrellano also tells Satterfield that the random testing that comes with fighting Mayweather these days has been no problem for them, describing it as "another day at the office."
